The heating surface consists of inner, (middle) outside disc tubes. The inner ones will be radiantly heated while the middle and the outside ones will form the convection heating surface. The fuel will be burnt in the combustor formed by the disc tubes. And the most heat will be absorbed by the radiant heating surface, then the air of high temperature will enter the convection heating surface to exchange heat.
